For a guy who almost got eaten, he looked way too pleased.

"That's worthy of, well, an award, you know!" He tapped his split lip thoughtfully, lying on the ground as if nothing had happened. "Ah, Zero Year may be over, but I think it's only fair for me to name a month after you. What do you say?"

His impractical coat was all messed up, his hat laying a little to the side, just as dirty and caked with snow.

"It's january, isn't it? It's Amberary now! Maybe not for all of Gotham, but for me for sure."

He grinned.

What the hell is he saying? Why bring up those old words? Ridiculous. Amber failed to hold back surprise in her eyes, but she almost managed to stop herself from smiling in time. Almost. He noticed.

"... Get up."

Long story short: Amber saved Ed from predators, and he decided to be extra with his flirting.

I remembered these words from "Zero Year" and an idea came to me...

This scene will definitely be in a fanfic, for which I have an underdeveloped idea, and which I will definitely not write. %)

In any case, this is roughly how I imagine ZY!Eddie flirting, in addition to all the other headcanons. My vision of him is too different from ​​how most of the fandom sees him . xD

Hello! So this is kinda the start of my au of Gotham and the batfamily! I've had this idea in my head for years and it's slowly evolved overtime!

Rough pitch! Want to watch the batfamily slowly gain supernatural abilities after some ancient magic is reawakened and takes a shine to them! But also the badies get some boost because magic is a give and take... This will have the batfamily all be kinda deaged and kinda changed a bit, like Dick is the oldest and he's freshly in college... ENJOY!

Gotham is cursed, most citizens joke about it but they're right. At first Gotham was just one cabin, one lone family suffering with the cursed land alone. As time went on more people came, more settled and built near the cursed land and family. And as the settlement grew, so too did the curse until it became what it is now; Gotham.

Not many know of the curse on the city, it's so old and hidden that even the greatest magical users miss it. You have to know where to look, where to see the clearest evidence. Most outside of Gotham knows it's unnatural with its chaos, the rogues gallery there being the biggest evidence. The city seems to breed misfortune, drawing in chaos from the outside and entwining itself so wholly with the bricks and mortar of Gotham. From the Lazarus Pit leaking into the bays of Gotham to deep abyssal-like shadows of Gotham's alleyways the curse takes and amplifies tenfold.

But every dark tie has its light; Lady Gotham herself. The first protector against the curse, an ancient witch who came to the cursed lands to combat the curse. She made her home there, helping the first family when she learned they were with a child. You see the curse is a nasty thing, taking everything it can touch. One of the first things the woman did was create a barrier, it was as small as she could make it but there's only so much to combat the spread of something so ancient and hungry.

But one thing Lady Gotham could do was bless those who would be permanently tied to the curse, she could help prevent the worst effects of such dark magic. But all magic has a cost, as more came to settle near the family the more Lady Gotham had to fight and protect.

It's said that Lady Gotham never died, she's just sleeping. Her magic and passion to protect the people driving her to make a great sacrifice. Or at least what would be said but as time went on people forgot details. Their Lady Gotham is still known, but not as she once was she's just the city.

But not to those looking to capitalize on such ancient magic, not to the Rosenberg family. An old family of Gotham, not as old as the Wayne family but one of the originals to settle. Their roots run deep and have for a very long time until most of the family met their end leaving their oldest daughter, a young woman who had been sent away to live with family overseas. So it was a bit of a surprise to the high society of Gotham to have the Rosenberg family move back to town.
